Our farm-to-table lunch will feature roast chicken raised at Sweeter Pastures Family Farm, with a variety of farm fresh sides & dessert. Full menu will be announced prior to the event.

Lunch tickets will be on sale the morning of the event for a suggested donation of $20 per person.

When purchasing your event ticket you'll kindly let us know if we should count on you for lunch or if you'll pack your own.

When you purchase your ticket(s) you'll have the opportunity to let us know about your food allergies/restrictions. We'll be in touch about the best ways to modify our menu to meet your needs. Or, you can reach out to us ahead of purchasing! 

Start Somewhere is taking place rain or shine. It will be an outdoor event on a working farm. Some workshops & lectures will take place fully out of doors, while others will be in the barn or under tents. 

Our event market is filled with vendors who can equip & encourage homesteaders. If you would like to apply to be a vendor, reach out to us!  

If you'd prefer to bring your own lunch along and eat it under the big tent with us, you're more than welcome.

Each ticket admits one guest to our event. Please plan to purchase tickets for each family member who will be attending. We have a limited number of tickets available for kids under 12 with a ticket-holding, responsible adult.

There is no kid-specific programming. If your child(ren) would enjoy learning alongside you at the lectures and workshops, this would be a good fit for your family.

Nursing babies are the exception and can, of course, join their mamas. We will have a quiet space available for nursing mamas to rest with their babies.

On our schedule, you'll note that two workshops/lectures are offered in each time slot. You'll choose to attend one. The exception is our keynote address, which all will attend.
